Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Grid Modernization Engineer to help upgrade Centurion's electricity grid with smart grid tech, DER, and AMI. You will plan, design, and implement advanced technologies to improve resilience, efficiency, and intelligence of the grid.

The role requires a strong background in power systems and practical experience with grid technology. Remote work is offered with occasional travel for essential meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems.
5–10 years of experience in power systems, grid operations, or smart grid technologies.
Proficiency with grid simulation software and data analysis tools.
Strong understanding of distributed generation and energy storage.

Responsibilities

Analyze existing grid infrastructure and identify areas for modernization.
Design specifications for smart grid technologies, automation, and SCADA integration.
Evaluate new technologies to improve grid reliability and energy management.
Collaborate with utilities, vendors, and internal teams on modernization projects.
Develop simulation models and test to validate new grid technologies.
Ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
