Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer for a fully remote role based in South Africa. You will drive global efficiency through data analysis, standardized best practices, and process improvements across international sites from your remote workspace.

You will lead remote projects, collaborate with global teams, develop SOPs, and deliver training materials while staying current with industry advancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field.
• At least 6 years of industrial engineering experience, with cross-functional or international projects.
• Proven track record of improving processes, efficiency, and cost savings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote analysis of manufacturing and operational processes across multiple global sites to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and standardize best-practice procedures and workflows to be implemented across all company facilities.
• Design and propose solutions for process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency gains using data analytics and simulation tools.
• Collaborate virtually with plant managers, engineering teams, and operational staff worldwide to facilitate adoption of new methodologies.
• Create and maintain documentation including process maps, SOPs, and training materials for remote delivery.
• Lead and manage improvement projects from conception to implementation across different time zones and locations.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, predict issues, and recommend proactive solutions.
• Facilitate remote workshops and training sessions on industrial engineering principles.
• Stay current with advancements in industrial engineering technologies applicable to remote/global operations.
