Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Information Security Manager to lead the organization's cybersecurity strategy for a global operation. This fully remote role offers flexibility and the chance to guide a vital security function from anywhere, reporting to executive leadership.

The role requires a Master’s in Cybersecurity or related field and 10+ years in information security, including 4+ in leadership, plus CISSP/CISM/CRISC.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent extensive experience.
• 10+ years in information security, with 4+ in leadership.
• CISSP, CISM, CRISC are mandatory.
• Experience with global security programs and remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an information security strategy aligned with business goals.
• Oversee management of cybersecurity risks including identification, assessment, and mitigation.
• Lead incident response for security breaches and cyber events.
• Ensure compliance with POPIA, GDPR and other standards.
• Mentor a distributed team of information security professionals.
• Oversee selection and maintenance of security technologies.
• Develop security awareness training for employees globally.
• Report on security posture and incidents to executive leadership.
