• Master's degree or PhD in CS, cybersecurity, information management, or related field.
• 10–15 years of progressive information security experience, with at least 5 in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience in developing enterprise-wide security programs.
• Deep understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and risk management methodologies.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
• Experience in e-commerce or high-growth technology environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of global data privacy laws and regulations.
• Ability to thrive in a fully remote, fast-paced, and dynamic international setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company-wide information security strategy and roadmap.
• Establish and maintain a robust information security governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures.
• Oversee and manage the information security team, fostering a culture of expertise and continuous improvement.
• Lead incident response planning and execution for security breaches and cyber-attacks.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, POPIA, and industry best practices.
• Manage the information security budget and vendor relationships.
