Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Manager to drive security strategy and programs for a fast-growing technology firm. This remote role enables shaping cybersecurity from anywhere in South Africa, focusing on risk management, incident response, and compliance.

You will build and lead a high-performing security team, implement controls, oversee audits, and align security with business objectives while staying current with ISO 27001, POPIA, and GDPR.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS/Info Security mandatory.
• CISSP/CISM/CISA or equivalent certifications required.
• 10+ years in information security with 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in enterprise-wide security programs, risk management, and data privacy.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business goals.
• Oversee security controls, policies, and procedures across the organization.
• Lead and develop the information security team and a remote security program.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response oversight.
• Ensure compliance with laws and standards (POPIA, GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Liaise with executives, auditors, and regulatory bodies; manage budgets and vendors.
