Placements24 is partnering with a rapidly expanding technology firm to hire a Remote Information Security Manager. This leadership role oversees the companys information security program, guiding a distributed team to protect data, systems, and intellectual property across all operations.

The ideal candidate has deep cybersecurity expertise, experience running security operations in a cloud-first environment, and the ability to foster a security-aware culture among a fully remote workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, InfoSec, or related field.
• 7+ years in information security with at least 3 in a leadership role.
• Proven experience managing security operations and incident response in remote environments.
• Strong cloud security knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security.
• Experience with ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR/CCPA compliance.
• CISSP or CISM certifications desirable.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, and IAM tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the company's overall information security strategy.
• Oversee SOC functions, including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of security professionals.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement security controls.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
• Manage security awareness training for a remote workforce.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to integrate security into SDLC and infrastructure.
• Evaluate and implement new security technologies and solutions.
• Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Report on security metrics, risks, and initiatives to executive leadership.
