Placements24 is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer for a fully remote role. You will assess ground conditions, support design input for diverse projects, and utilize Plaxis/GeoStudio to model soils and foundations.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in geotechnical engineering, strong reporting skills, and the ability to work independently from a home office. Pr Eng with ECSA is desirable but not required.

Formación

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical specialization.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is desirable.
• Minimum 7 years of geotechnical experience.
• Proven site investigation planning, execution, and interpretation experience.
• Strong knowledge of soil and rock mechanics and foundation engineering principles.
• Proficiency with geotechnical modeling software is advantageous.
• Experience on infrastructure projects such as roads, dams, or buildings.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple remote projects.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and execute geotechnical investigations (boreholes, trial pits, in-situ tests).
• Analyze soil/rock samples to determine properties.
• Perform foundation design calculations for shallow and deep foundations.
• Conduct slope stability analyses for various earthworks.
• Prepare detailed geotechnical investigation reports with design recommendations.
• Develop earthworks, ground improvement, and foundation specifications.
• Coordinate with clients and project teams to discuss findings.
• Utilize geotechnical software for modeling and analysis (Plaxis, GeoStudio).
• Ensure compliance with geotechnical standards and safety regulations.
• Provide technical support during construction related to earthworks and foundations.
