Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mining Engineering with a geotechnical specialization.
• Minimum 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience in underground mining.
• Proficiency with geotechnical software such as FLAC and Rocscience.
• Strong rock mechanics knowledge and ground support design.
• Experience with field investigations, instrumentation, and data interpretation.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical investigations and analyze rock mass properties.
• Design ground support for underground mine excavations.
• Perform numerical modeling to assess stability of slopes and tunnels.
• Monitor ground conditions and seismic activity; implement remedial measures.
• Develop geotechnical monitoring programs and data systems.
• Provide expert guidance to mine planning and operations teams.
