Placements24 is seeking a Remote Civil Geotechnical Engineer to analyse soil conditions, design foundations, and assess earth structure stability from a home office. You will deliver geotechnical reports and recommendations, collaborating with globally dispersed teams.

The role requires a Master’s in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, a PE license or eligibility, and at least 5 years of geotechnical experience, with proficiency in GeoStudio, Plaxis, and Rocscience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for professional registration.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Demonstrated expertise in geotechnical analysis and design software (GeoStudio, Plaxis, Rocscience).
• Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and slope stability principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed geotechnical investigations and analyses for foundations, slopes, and earth retaining structures.
• Interpret site investigation data (boreholes, CPTs) and laboratory results.
• Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports with design recommendations and risk assessments.
• Develop foundation designs, slope stability analyses, and pavement designs.
• Utilise advanced geotechnical software for modelling and simulations.
• Provide technical support to project teams and clients remotely.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and stakeholders via virtual platforms.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and best practices.
• Review and approve geotechnical designs and construction proposals.
