Placements24 is seeking a Remote Game Audio Director to lead audio development for multiple titles from anywhere. You will define the audio vision and oversee music, sound design, dialogue, and voice direction across projects.

You will mentor and manage distributed teams of composers, sound designers, and audio programmers, ensuring high-quality, integrated audio within gameplay and systems. Strong remote leadership and a proven AAA track record are essential.

Formación

• 8+ years in audio direction or leadership within the video game industry.
• Proven success leading audio teams on multiple AAA or significant indie game titles.
• Proven ability to define and execute a compelling audio vision.
• Expertise in music, sound design, mixing, implementation, and voice direction.
• Strong understanding of audio middleware (Wwise, FMOD) and game engines (Unreal, Unity).
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills for remote teams.
• Ability to manage budgets and external resources.
• Portfolio demonstrating leadership in audio for impactful game titles.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.

Responsabilidades

• Define and champion the overall audio vision and strategy for multiple game titles.
• Lead, mentor, and manage remote audio teams, including composers, sound designers, and audio programmers.
• Oversee the creation and implementation of all in-game audio elements: music, sound effects, dialogue, and ambience.
• Establish and maintain audio quality standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with game design, narrative, art, and engineering to ensure audio integration.
• Manage audio budgets, vendor relationships, and external outsourcing.
• Direct the implementation of audio systems within game engines and middleware.
• Conduct regular audio reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Stay abreast of emerging audio technologies and techniques, recommending adoption where appropriate.
• Present audio plans, progress, and milestones to executive leadership.
