About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing charity organization committed to making a significant impact, is seeking an experienced and strategic Remote Fundraising Manager. This critical role will lead all aspects of the organization's fundraising efforts, focusing on developing and implementing innovative strategies to secure the necessary financial resources to support our client's vital work. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented professional with a proven track record in diverse fundraising methodologies, including grants, major gifts, corporate partnerships, and online campaigns. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while driving revenue for impactful programs. The successful candidate will be a persuasive communicator, a skilled relationship builder, and passionate about our client's mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet annual revenue goals.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
• Write compelling grant proposals and manage grant reporting requirements.
• Develop and manage online fundraising campaigns and social media engagement strategies.
• Organize and execute fundraising events (virtual and in-person, where applicable).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, ensuring consistent communication and engagement.
• Manage the donor database and ensure accurate record-keeping and timely acknowledgments.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to align fundraising efforts with organizational objectives.
• Stay informed about fundraising trends and best practices, adapting strategies as needed.
• Oversee budgeting for fundraising activities and ensure efficient use of resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Philanthropy, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in fundraising and development, with a strong emphasis on remote or digital fundraising.
• Demonstrated success in achieving significant fundraising targets across multiple streams.
• Proven experience in grant writing, major gift solicitation, and corporate partnership development.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive appeals.
• Strong understanding of donor management software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) and online fundraising platforms.
• Excellent networking, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Passion for the mission of our client and a commitment to ethical fundraising practices.
• Experience working with non-profit organizations in the **Gauteng** region is a plus.
