Placements24 is hiring a Remote Freight Network Analyst to optimize freight operations from anywhere in South Africa. You will analyze complex freight data, build models for forecasting and routing, and provide strategic insights to reduce costs and improve service levels.

The role requires 4+ years in logistics analytics, strong SQL/Python/R skills, and proficiency in Tableau or Power BI. Remote work is supported with flexible hours and access to advanced analytics tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in logistics analysis, supply chain analytics, freight management, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and software (SQL, Python, R).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Understanding of transportation modes and supply chain principles.

Responsibilities

• Analyze freight movement data to identify inefficiencies and cost drivers.
• Develop models for demand forecasting, capacity planning, and route planning.
• Evaluate carrier performance and provide data-backed recommendations.
• Collaborate with operations to implement strategic improvements in the freight network.
• Design and generate reports and dashboards to visualize KPIs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in freight network analysis.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed network changes or investments.
• Support the development and implementation of new logistics technologies.
• Communicate complex findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout analytics processes.
