Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Logistics Analyst to optimize a nationwide logistics network from a fully remote setup in South Africa. You will conduct deep data analysis, design models for network optimization, inventory control, and transportation planning, and present findings to leadership to drive cost reductions.

The ideal candidate has a Master's in a quantitative field and 5+ years in logistics analysis, with strong SQL, Python, R, and Excel skills.

Qualifications

Master's degree in a quantitative field related to logistics.
5+ years in logistics analysis or transport planning.
Proficiency with SQL, Python, R and advanced Excel.
Experience with optimization/simulation software is a plus.

Responsibilities

Analyze logistics operations and identify optimization and cost reductions.
Build models for network design, transport planning, and inventory optimization.
Analyze large datasets for trends and improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teams and partners to implement solutions.
Develop reports and business cases for senior management.
Monitor KPIs and evaluate logistics strategies for adjustments.
Mentor junior analysts and contribute to analytical capability development.
Support ad-hoc analytical projects as required.
