Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Transport Network Analyst to optimizeSouth Africa-wide transportation networks from a remote home office. You will model networks, run scenario analyses, and deliver data-driven recommendations to reduce costs and improve delivery times.

The role requires 5+ years in transport/logistics analytics, strong SQL/Python/R skills, and the ability to communicate complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in transport network analysis or a similar quantitative role.
• Proven ability to analyze and model complex logistics networks.
• Strong data analysis skills using SQL, Python, or R.
• Experience with optimization software is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets on routes, transit times, costs, volumes, and carrier performance.
• Develop network models to evaluate infrastructure and identify optimization opportunities.
• Conduct what-if scenario analyses to assess proposed network changes.
• Create KPIs and dashboards to monitor network efficiency and costs.
• Collaborate with regional operations managers to gather requirements.
• Recommend strategic changes to network design, including hub locations and routing.
