Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end freight forwarding operations for international shipments (air, sea, road). Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and certificates of origin. Coordinate with airlines, shipping lines, trucking companies, and customs brokers. Track shipments and provide timely updates to clients and internal teams. Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies. Identify and resolve potential issues and delays in the shipping process proactively. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide optimal logistics solutions. Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers to ensure cost-effectiveness. Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions and communications. Stay updated on global trade trends, regulations, and best practices in freight forwarding.

Requirements

Proven experience in freight forwarding, logistics coordination, or a similar international shipping role. Thorough understanding of international shipping procedures, Incoterms, and customs regulations. Proficiency in using freight forwarding software and virtual communication tools. Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Strong negotiation and communication abilities, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently, manage workload effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting. A dedicated home office setup with reliable high-speed internet access. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in documentation and data entry. Experience with customs clearance procedures is highly desirable. Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
