Job summary

Placements24 is looking for a highly qualified Food Safety and Quality Assurance Officer for a fully remote role across South Africa. You will develop, implement, and monitor HACCP and ISO 22000 compliant programs, run virtual audits, train staff, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years in food safety, QA, or QC.
• Deep knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000.
• Familiarity with national and international regulations.
• Experience conducting audits and risk assessments.
• Strong communication, training, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage food safety and QA programs.
• Perform remote audits of processes and storage.
• Monitor hygiene, sanitation, and pest control.
• Deliver training on safety and quality standards.
• Investigate and resolve safety/quality concerns; implement CAPA.
• Maintain records of inspections, audits, and actions.
• Stay updated with safety legislation and certifications.
• Collaborate with suppliers to assure incoming quality.
• Analyze data and report on safety performance.
• Promote culture of safety and quality throughout the org.
