Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced FMCG Quality Assurance Manager to lead QA across its Mossel Bay operations. You will develop and maintain QMS, oversee QA audits, CAPA, and drive continuous improvement while guiding a remote team.

The role requires a strong background in HACCP, GMP, ISO standards, and capable leadership to ensure product safety, quality, and compliance, with occasional travel for audits and meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years in Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years in a management role in FMCG.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies, HACCP, GMP, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000.
• Experience in audits, CAPA, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain QMS aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee quality control activities including raw material inspection, in-process testing, and finished product analysis.
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance and identify improvements.
• Lead and train a QA team, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Investigate deviations and customer complaints, implement CAPA.
