Placements24 is seeking a Remote Food and Beverage Procurement Specialist to join a national catering and events provider. The role focuses on sourcing ingredients and supplies, negotiating favorable terms, and maintaining supply chains from a remote location.

You will work with culinary and operations teams, monitor market trends, enforce quality standards, and optimize costs across regional sites in South Africa.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in food & beverage or catering.
• Strong negotiation with vendors and managing supplier relationships.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential.
• Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in supply chain, business, or a related field.

Responsabilités

• Source and procure high-quality F&B products and supplies with competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts and SLAs.
• Manage inventory levels remotely, forecast needs, and coordinate deliveries to sites.
• Implement and enforce strict quality control for procured items to meet standards.
• Monitor market trends for cost-saving opportunities and supplier consolidation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and procurement policies.
• Collaborate with culinary and operations teams for product needs and specs.
• Utilize procurement software to track orders, vendor performance, and spend analysis.
• Identify and vet new suppliers to expand the network and value.
• Contribute to strategic sourcing and cost-reduction initiatives.
