About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Remote Fleet Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the performance of their vehicle fleet from a home-based office. You will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance across all fleet activities, remotely managing drivers and assets. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of logistics and fleet management principles, who can leverage technology to drive improvements. Working within the Centurion logistics framework, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of service delivery and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to enhance fleet efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve delivery times.
• Monitor fleet performance, track key metrics (e.g., fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, driver behavior), and generate reports for management.
• Ensure all vehicles comply with safety regulations and environmental standards, coordinating maintenance and repairs remotely.
• Manage driver schedules, assignments, and performance, providing remote support and guidance.
• Collaborate with procurement and maintenance teams to manage vehicle acquisition, disposal, and upkeep effectively.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management or operations management, with a significant portion in a remote capacity.
• Strong understanding of fleet management software, telematics, and GPS tracking technologies.
• Proven ability to manage a geographically dispersed team and operations.
• Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
