Placements24 is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee a remote transportation fleet. You will drive strategy, safety, cost control, and regulatory compliance across dispersed locations, leveraging telematics and TMS tools.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, remote team management, and collaboration with drivers, suppliers, and regulators to optimize performance and uptime while maintaining high service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management or a similar transportation management role.
• Proven track record in managing diverse vehicle fleets and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance, telematics, and transportation management software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Oversee vehicle acquisition, disposal, and maintenance programs to minimize downtime and costs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, licensing, and insurance requirements.
• Monitor fleet performance metrics, including fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and driver behavior.
• Implement strategies for accident prevention and driver safety training.
• Manage relationships with vehicle suppliers, maintenance providers, and regulatory bodies.
