Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Project Manager to lead fintech software initiatives for clients in the financial services sector. You will own end-to-end delivery, harmonising business strategy with regulatory requirements while guiding distributed teams across software developers, analysts and QA in a fully virtual setting.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 8+ years of project management experience in FinTech or financial services tech.
• Proven track record delivering complex IT projects in financial services.

• Manage full lifecycle of fintech projects from initiation to deployment and post-implementation support.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, budgets, timelines, and resources under regulatory constraints.
• Lead cross-functional teams remotely (developers, analysts, QA, compliance).
• Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations (POPIA, FAIS, FICA) and data security standards.
• Manage risks and issues with effective mitigation strategies.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders including senior management, vendors, and clients.
• Oversee implementation of new products/platforms and promote Agile practices.
• Conduct post-project reviews and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.
