Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a remote Financial Analyst to support strategic decision-making in South Africa. You will perform in-depth financial analysis, build models and prepare reports for senior management in a fully remote, deadline-driven environment.

Key duties include forecasting, budgeting support, KPI monitoring, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Strong FP&A, Excel, and SQL/Python skills are preferred, with 4+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
• Master's degree or CFA/CIMA certification is advantageous.
• At least 4 years of experience in financial analysis or corporate finance, preferably with project-based work.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; SQL or Python is preferred.
• Experience with FP&A software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; able to explain complex concepts to non-financial audiences.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Stable internet connection and dedicated home office setup.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis for various initiatives and projects.
• Develop complex financial models to forecast performance and scenarios.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management.
• Identify KPIs and monitor performance against them.
