Placements24 is seeking a proactive Remote Event Catering Planner to design and coordinate catering experiences for clients nationwide from a remote location. The role focuses on understanding client needs, developing bespoke menus, managing budgets, and liaising with a network of approved caterers and vendors.

A strong background in event planning or catering management, exceptional organizational and negotiation skills, and proficiency with event management software and MS Office are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning, catering coordination, or a related hospitality role.
• Proven ability to manage projects and client expectations remotely.
• Strong understanding of menu planning, food and beverage service, and event logistics.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to conceptualize and plan personalized catering menus and event details.
• Source and manage relationships with a network of trusted catering partners and vendors.
• Develop detailed event proposals, including menus, pricing, and logistical plans.
• Manage event budgets effectively, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate all aspects of catering logistics, from food preparation and delivery to on-site service execution.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations for all catered events.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during planning or execution phases.
• Stay updated on current food trends, dietary restrictions, and innovative catering concepts.
• Maintain meticulous records of client communications, event details, and vendor agreements.
