Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead a global ERP implementation. This fully remote role lets you manage a large-scale transformation from anywhere in South Africa, delivering an integrated ERP solution across operations.

You will guide planning, data migrations, testing, training, and go-live while coordinating dispersed teams, managing scope and budget, and ensuring user adoption to maximise business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Master's degree or PMP/PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience, 5+ years in large ERP implementations.
• Proven experience leading fully remote projects with dispersed teams.
• Strong understanding of ERP modules, processes, and integration concepts.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid methodologies and tools like MS Project, Jira.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills for virtual environments.
• Experience in change management and user adoption for major system implementations.
• Must be legally authorized to work in South Africa and comfortable with remote work.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ERP implementation including planning, design, config, data migration, testing, training, and go-live.
• Manage scope, budget, timelines, and resources to ensure timely delivery.
• Build and motivate cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
• Develop and execute project plans, risk management, and communications.
• Oversee ERP integration with existing applications and infrastructure.
• Ensure change management and user adoption strategies are in place.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and resolve issues.
• Manage vendor relationships and performance throughout the lifecycle.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify optimization opportunities.
