Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead a major ERP implementation for a manufacturing client in Centurion, Gauteng. You will oversee vendor selection, system design, deployment, training, and post-implementation support to ensure a smooth, integrated rollout across key business functions.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in project management with at least 3 years in ERP projects (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics), strong stakeholder management, leadership, and change

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of project management experience, with 3+ years in ERP implementations.
• Proven track record delivering full-cycle ERP projects.
• Strong understanding of core business processes (finance, supply chain, HR, manufacturing).
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with change management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in project management software and ERP implementation methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of the ERP implementation project.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders and IT leadership.
• Develop detailed project plans, including WBS, timelines, resources, and budget management.
• Manage cross-functional teams including internal staff, external consultants, and vendors.
• Oversee selection and management of ERP software vendors and partners.
• Facilitate business process re-engineering related to ERP implementation.
• Manage risks, issues, and change requests with timely resolution and clear communication.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive change management and training strategy.
• Ensure ERP is configured, tested, and deployed per requirements and specs.
• Monitor project performance with regular status updates to leadership.
