Placements24 seeks a Remote Electrical Systems Designer for a pioneering technology firm focused on smart city infrastructure in South Africa. You will shape the electrical architectures for urban solutions from any SA location.

You will design power distribution, control systems, and communications networks using AutoCAD and Revit MEP, collaborating with a remote multidisciplinary team to meet rigorous standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical system design.
• Experience with infrastructure or smart technologies.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics, control systems, and smart city communication protocols.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive electrical system designs for smart city applications, including power distribution, control systems, and communication networks.
• Create detailed schematics and wiring diagrams with industry-standard CAD software.
• Perform power system analysis, load calculations, and equipment selection.
• Collaborate with a remote, cross-functional team of engineers, urban planners, and project managers.
