Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our innovative team. This fully remote role allows you to design electrical systems and components for diverse projects from anywhere in South Africa, including Mahikeng, North West.

You will use CAD tools like Altium Designer or OrCAD to develop schematics, perform simulations, select components, and document BOMs. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, at least three years of experience, strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of design experience.
• Proficiency with electrical CAD tools and simulations.
• Solid knowledge of analog/digital electronics and power management.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics, circuits, and layouts.
• Use CAD tools (Altium Designer, OrCAD) for designs.
• Perform calculations and simulations for performance and signal integrity.
• Create BOMs and technical specifications; document designs.
• Collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams in a remote setting.
• Test, validate, and troubleshoot electrical prototypes and products.
