About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Remote Electrical Design Engineer with a focus on renewable energy projects. You will be responsible for the electrical design and development of solar, wind, and battery storage systems. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering high-performance, cost-effective renewable energy installations that meet stringent technical and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics and layouts for renewable energy systems, including PV arrays, inverters, and battery storage.
• Perform electrical calculations for system sizing, protection, and grid interconnection.
• Develop detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical specifications for electrical components.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant national and international electrical standards and safety regulations.
• Provide technical support during the procurement, installation, and commissioning phases of projects.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, civil engineers, and external stakeholders via digital platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, with a significant portion focused on renewable energy .
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and simulation tools for energy systems.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC) and safety standards applicable to renewable energy.
