Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Program Development Officer to design, develop, and implement innovative educational programs for disadvantaged youth across South Africa, with a focus on communities around Durban and KwaZulu-Natal. The role emphasizes curriculum development, research, and cross- functional collaboration to ensure impact and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in program development or curriculum design.
• Proven ability to design and implement educational programs.
• Strong research, analytical and proposal writing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with remote collaboration ability.
• Experience with grant writing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify emerging needs in educational program development.
• Design, develop, and pilot new educational programs aligned with the mission.
• Create program proposals with goals, activities, budgets and evaluation plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, partners, and community reps for relevance.
• Develop curricula, training materials, and resources for facilitators.
• Manage implementation, timelines and budgets for assigned programs.
• Monitor progress, collect data, and evaluate outcomes for senior management.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions, virtually and in person as needed.
• Support grant writing by developing strong program components.
• Stay updated on best practices in youth education program development.
