Job summary

Placements24 seeks an Online Learning Designer to build engaging digital courses for a remote, global team. You will translate educational content into effective online modules, applying ADDIE/SAM and UX best practices.

A strong portfolio and proficiency with Articulate 360, Captivate, and Camtasia are essential. You will work with SMEs, developers, and stakeholders to ensure accessible, high-quality learning solutions that meet learner needs and organizational goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience designing online learning.
Proficiency with e-learning tools: Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia.
Strong instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
Experience creating multimedia content (graphics, audio, video).
Excellent project management and remote collaboration skills.
Portfolio of online learning projects required.
Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and develop engaging online courses, modules, and learning materials using various e-learning authoring tools.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate content into accessible, interactive learning experiences.
Apply instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM) and learning theories to create optimal learning journeys.
Develop multimedia elements (graphics, animations, videos, interactive simulations).
Create assessments, quizzes, and performance-based activities to measure learning outcomes.
Ensure content is accessible, user-friendly, and adheres to design standards.
Manage multiple online learning projects with timely delivery.
Conduct needs analyses and learning evaluations to identify improvement opportunities.
Stay current with trends in e-learning, instructional design, and online education.
Provide guidance to SMEs on best practices in online learning design.
Test and troubleshoot courses to ensure functionality and UX.
Maintain project documentation and version control.
