Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Drilling Fluids Engineer to join a fully remote technical team. You will design, optimize, and support drilling fluid programs for global projects, communicating effectively with rig crews and engineers from any location.

You will monitor fluid performance, troubleshoot issues, and prepare technical reports. A minimum of five years in mud engineering and a Bachelor’s in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering or related science field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Drilling Fluids Engineer or Mud Engineer.
• In-depth knowledge of drilling fluid chemistry and applications.
• Experience with water-based, oil-based, and synthetic-based drilling fluids.
• Proven ability to provide remote technical support and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Design and tailor drilling fluid programs for well conditions and objectives.
• Monitor drilling fluid performance in real-time and recommend adjustments.
• Troubleshoot issues like lost circulation and wellbore instability.
• Manage inventory and logistics for drilling fluid additives and equipment.
• Collaborate remotely with rig crews and engineers to optimize performance.
• Prepare technical reports on operations, performance, and costs.
