Placements24 is seeking a Remote Drilling Fluids Engineer in the Oil & Gas sector. This fully remote role entails designing, managing, and optimizing drilling fluid systems to ensure wellbore stability and efficient drilling at various projects, with remote support to rig sites.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in drilling fluids, rheology and additives, plus proven ability to analyze data and collaborate with field teams from a distance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Drilling Fluids Engineer in Oil & Gas.
• Deep knowledge of drilling fluid systems, properties and additives.
• Experience with wellbore hydraulics and fluid mechanics.

Responsabilités

• Design drilling fluid programs for specific well objectives and geology.
• Provide remote technical support and supervision of drilling fluid ops on rigs.
• Monitor drilling fluid properties in real time (density, viscosity, filtration).
• Troubleshoot issues like wellbore instability and lost circulation.
• Recommend and manage drilling fluid additives usage.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
