Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive drilling engineering experience with a focus on well design.
• Proven design experience for onshore and offshore wells.
• Proficiency in drilling design software (StressCheck, WellPlan, Compass).
• Solid knowledge of casing design, cementing and drilling fluids.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage remote projects.

Responsibilities

• Designing comprehensive drilling programs, including well trajectories, casing designs, mud programs, and cementing strategies.
• Performing detailed calculations for wellbore stability, directional control, and load capacities.
• Selecting appropriate drilling equipment, tools, and materials.
• Conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation plans for drilling operations.
• Collaborating remotely with geologists, reservoir engineers, and operations teams to ensure integrated well designs.
• Developing and managing drilling budgets.
• Overseeing the procurement of drilling services and equipment.
• Staying current with advancements in drilling technology and techniques.
• Mentoring junior drilling engineers and contributing to knowledge sharing.
