Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in drilling engineering.
• Proven experience in designing and executing complex drilling operations.
• Proficiency with drilling simulation software and relevant industry tools.
• Strong knowledge of well control principles, HSE regulations, and risk management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, especially for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed drilling programs and procedures for conventional and unconventional wells.
• Design well trajectories, select casing programs, and plan cementing operations.
• Optimize drilling parameters to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize non-productive time (NPT).
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for drilling hazards.
• Oversee drilling operations remotely, providing technical guidance and problem-solving support.
• Collaborate with directional drilling, MWD/LWD, and other service providers.
• Analyze drilling data to identify performance trends and implement continuous improvements.
• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and environmental policies.
• Prepare post-well drilling reports and lessons learned documentation.
• Mentor and support less experienced drilling engineers through remote channels.
