Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Dispatch and Logistics Coordinator to manage scheduling, dispatch, and tracking of a fleet from a remote setting. You will optimize routes, allocate resources, and maintain strong communication with drivers, clients, and internal teams.

The role requires proven logistics experience, familiarity with TMS and fleet tracking, and excellent organizational skills. This fully remote position supports SA operations and collaboration with the Tembisa hub

Qualifications

• Proven experience in logistics, dispatch, or a similar coordination role, preferably in a remote capacity.
• Strong understanding of transportation management systems (TMS) and fleet tracking software.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a remote setting.
• Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
• High-speed internet connectivity and a dedicated, distraction-free home office environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, maintaining high levels of productivity.
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving logistical challenges.
• Experience in the transport and logistics sector, with knowledge of South African geography is a plus.
• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily deliveries, ensuring optimal route planning for efficiency and timely arrival.
• Monitor the real-time location and status of all vehicles in the fleet using advanced tracking systems.
• Communicate effectively with drivers to provide updates, address issues, and ensure adherence to schedules.
• Liaise with clients to confirm delivery details, manage expectations, and resolve any service-related inquiries.
• Proactively identify and address potential logistical disruptions, implementing contingency plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate electronic records of all dispatch activities, delivery statuses, and fleet performance metrics.
