Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Supply Chain Analyst focused on Demand Planning. This fully remote role supports South Africa, enabling forecasting, inventory optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to improve availability and reduce carrying costs.

You'll leverage statistical models, market insights, and advanced Excel to forecast demand, monitor stock, and provide actionable recommendations to minimize risks and maximize profitability for national operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in demand planning or forecasting.
• Proficiency in demand planning software and advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience in consumer goods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate demand forecasts using statistical models and market intelligence.
• Analyze historical sales data and market trends to refine forecasts.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations to align on demand planning strategies.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock to prevent stockouts.
• Identify and analyze supply chain risks related to demand fluctuations.
• Prepare reports and presentations on forecasts and performance metrics for national operations.
