Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Operations Analyst to join its global operations team. This fully remote role within South Africa focuses on optimizing supply chain processes, boosting operational efficiency, and driving data‑driven decision making across the organization.

You will work with remote teams to model demand, forecast inventory and lead times, develop dashboards using SQL, Python/R, Tableau and Power BI, and support new systems implementations for improved performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Statistics or related quantitative field. Master’s degree highly desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in operations analysis, supply chain or similar analytical role, preferably in FMCG.
• Proven expertise in data analysis, modeling, and visualization using SQL, Python/R and BI platforms like Tableau/Power BI.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, inventory management and forecasting.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and remote-work collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex supply chain data to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks across FMCG operations.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports with KPIs for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global teams to design optimized supply chain strategies.
• Model and forecast demand, inventory levels and lead times to optimize stock and costs.
• Use SQL, Python/R, Tableau/Power BI to extract, clean and interpret large datasets.
• Support implementation of new operational systems and drive user adoption.
• Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for operational performance and customer satisfaction.
