Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Remote Supply Chain Planner to optimize end-to-end supply chain operations from anywhere in South Africa. You will develop and execute strategic plans, manage inventory, forecast demand, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth material and finished goods flow.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in supply chain planning, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in APS software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain/ logistics or related field.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain planning or operations.
• Proven experience in demand forecasting, inventory management, and S&OP.
• Proficiency in SAP APO, Oracle SCM Cloud, Kinaxis, and Advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage integrated supply chain plans to meet customer demand and business objectives.
• Forecast product demand, considering historical data, market trends, and promotions.
• Optimize inventory levels across the network to minimize carrying costs while ensuring product availability.
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and sales teams to align supply chain strategies.
• Manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of materials and adherence to quality standards.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions.
• Analyze supply chain performance metrics and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Utilize advanced planning systems (APS) and other relevant software to support planning activities.
• Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of various factors on the supply chain.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain in Polokwane or other designated regions indirectly.
