Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Senior Supply Chain Analyst to join a globally distributed team. This fully remote role lets you work from anywhere in South Africa and focuses on optimizing inventory, logistics, and forecasting.

You will analyze complex data, build models, partner with procurement, logistics, operations and sales, design KPIs, and mentor junior analysts. Requires 5+ years, Advanced Excel, SQL, Python or R, and ERP systems experience. Masters/CSCP a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of supply chain analysis or related field.
• Strong data analysis, modeling, and forecasting skills.
• Proficiency with Excel (advanced), SQL, Python or R.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, or similar ERP systems.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; Masters/CSCP/CPIM a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze end-to-end supply chain performance to identify bottlenecks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and maintain supply chain models and forecasts for demand planning and inventory management.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, operations, and sales to ensure smooth flow of goods and information.
• Design and implement KPIs to track supply chain effectiveness.
• Use data visualization tools to present complex data to stakeholders.
• Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
• Support adoption of new supply chain technologies and process improvements.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses for supply chain initiatives.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and trends.
• Mentor junior analysts and drive continuous improvement.
