Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Production Optimization Engineer with a strong background in petroleum production engineering. The role focuses on analyzing production data, optimizing recovery, and applying artificial lift strategies while collaborating with field teams from a fully remote setting.

You will leverage PROSPER/GAP and related tools to model performance, propose corrections, and drive cost-effective improvements across assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of production engineering experience focused on optimization.
• Proficiency in PROSPER, GAP, or similar production analysis software.
• Strong understanding of artificial lift systems (ESPs, rod pumps, gas lift).
• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects remotely.
• Excellent remote collaboration and communication skills.
• Familiarity with well testing and surface facilities operations.
• Experience in unconventional resource production is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production data from wells and facilities to identify performance issues and optimization opportunities.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve oil and gas recovery, including artificial lift optimization.
• Monitor well and field performance, diagnose issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Utilize production simulation and data analysis software to model performance and evaluate interventions.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers, geologists, and operations teams to align on production strategies.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations on production performance and optimization initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and standard operating procedures for production operations.
• Stay current with new technologies and methodologies in production engineering and optimization.
• Ensure all activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
