Placements24 is hiring a Remote Reservoir Engineer for a global oil and gas company. This role supports remote-first operations and focuses on reservoir characterization, performance analysis, and optimization using simulation and data analytics.

You will run reservoir models (Eclipse/CMG/Tempest), analyze well data, assess EOR options, and prepare reports for management while coordinating with geoscience and production teams from your home office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or closely related field.
• 7+ years of direct reservoir engineering experience in oil and gas.
• Experience with reservoir simulation software and production analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of fluid properties, rock mechanics, and multiphase flow.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed reservoir studies: production forecasting, material balance, decline curve analysis, performance monitoring.
• Develop and execute reservoir simulation models to evaluate development strategies.
• Evaluate enhanced oil recovery (EOR) feasibility and prepare studies.
• Analyze well test data, production logs, and reservoir information to understand complexities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams via digital tools and present findings to management.
• Stay updated on new reservoir engineering technologies and methodologies.
• Provide technical support for well planning, completion design, and production optimization.
