Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Data Acquisition Specialist - External Data (Remote/Homebased) to define, set up and ingest external data streams for clinical trials. You will coordinate with labs, ECG, imaging, and biomarker data providers, ensuring data transfer, mapping, and compliance with SDTM, GCP/ICH guidelines, and privacy laws.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of clinical data management experience, strong English communication, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience managing data in clinical research.
• Experience with external data sources (Safety Lab, PK, ECG, etc.).
• Experience with external data providers within a clinical study setting.
• Experience developing data transfer agreements.
• Experience working on clinical trials.
• Experience in diverse, cross-functional, multiregional teams.
• Knowledge of SDTM.
• Working knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Execute deliverables for Standardized External Data Streams.
• Assess external data collection requirements per protocol and planning of set-up activities.
• Liaise with data stakeholders to define data transfer and structure per data stream.
• Create change requests for new test concepts or data structures.
• Develop trial-specific tsDTA documenting data transfer needs.
• Ensure data transfer frequencies meet study requirements.
• Liaise with external data providers for tsDTA alignment.
• Translate medical concepts into data mapping guidance per data model.
• UAT of test data transfers to ensure accuracy with specs.
• Implement data transfer mechanisms into CDR with external access.
• Monitor availability and accuracy of external data streams and resolve issues.
