Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Data Acquisition Specialist - External Data (Remote/Homebased) to define, set up and ingest external data streams for clinical studies, including lab, ECG, imaging, biomarkers and real‑world data.

You will liaise with data stakeholders, draft data transfer agreements, ensure compliant data transfer and perform UAT. A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science) and 3+ years in clinical data management are required. Experience with SDTM and GCP/ICH guidelines is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience managing data in clinical research.
• Experience with external data sources (lab, ECG, imaging, biomarkers, etc).
• Experience engaging with external data providers in a clinical study setting.
• Experience drafting data transfer agreements (DTA/tsDTA).
• Familiarity with data protection regulations and data mapping.

Responsibilities

• Define, set up and ingest external data streams per protocol.
• Liaise with data stakeholders to define data transfer and structure.
• Create change requests for new data concepts or data structures.
• Develop trial-specific DTAs documenting study requirements and methods for data transfer.
• Ensure data transfer frequencies meet study requirements (monitoring/analysis).
• Coordinate with external data providers to align tsDTA and data transfer.
• Translate medical concepts into data mapping guidance and document in DTA.
• Perform UAT of test data transfers for accuracy against data specs.
• Implement data transfer mechanisms into data platforms (CDR) with external access.
• Monitor data availability and accuracy, resolving data transfer issues.
