Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Data Acquisition Specialist - External Data (Remote/Homebased) to define, set up and ingest external data streams for clinical trials. You will coordinate with data providers, ensure alignment with data models, and support TS/DSA processes.

The role requires managing external data sources like lab, ECG, imaging and wearable data, maintaining data quality, and ensuring compliance with data protection rules. Strong communication in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience managing data in clinical research.
• Experience with external data e.g., Safety Lab, PK, Biomarkers, ECG.
• Experience developing data transfer agreements and working in clinical trials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Execute deliverables for Standardized External Data Streams.
• Plan external data acquisition per protocol and timelines.
• Liaise with data stakeholders to define data transfer and structure.
• Create change requests for new data concepts or structures.
• Develop trial-specific data transfer agreements documenting requirements.
• Ensure data transfer frequencies meet study needs.
• Coordinate with external data providers on tsDTA alignment.
• Translate concepts into data mapping guidance for programmers.
• UAT of test data transfers for accuracy with data specs.
• Implement data transfer mechanisms into the data store.
• Monitor availability and quality of external data streams.
