Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Customer Support Specialist to join our virtual team in Johannesburg. As the first point of contact, you will assist customers across email, chat, and phone, resolving inquiries and guiding them through product features from your home office.

You will troubleshoot technical issues, document interactions in the CRM, and escalate where needed while maintaining a focus on satisfaction, retention, and professional growth within a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a customer service or helpdesk role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with customer support software and CRM systems.
• Able to work independently in a remote setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education/certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries via email, chat, and phone, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.
• Provide comprehensive technical support and troubleshooting for product-related issues.
• Guide customers through product setup, usage, and feature explanations.
• Document all customer interactions, issues, and resolutions in the CRM system accurately.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate departments while maintaining ownership of customer satisfaction.
• Gather customer feedback to identify trends and suggest improvements to products and services.
