Placements24 is seeking a Corporate Compliance Officer for a fully remote role with an international ecommerce client. You will design and maintain compliance programs, conduct risk assessments, and ensure adherence to laws including POPIA, GDPR, AML, and anti-bribery.

The ideal candidate has an LLB, 5+ years in compliance, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously from a remote setup.

Qualifications

• LLB or related field with regulatory experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive corporate compliance programs.
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits across business units.
• Ensure adherence to laws including POPIA, GDPR, AML and anti-bribery.
• Draft and update compliance policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
• Provide training and guidance on compliance matters and ethical conduct.
• Investigate potential breaches and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise on necessary adjustments.
• Manage relationships with regulatory bodies.
• Promote a strong ethical culture and compliance awareness throughout the organization.
