Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Construction Safety Coordinator to support diverse projects from a fully remote setting. You will develop, implement, and monitor health and safety protocols across multiple sites without being physically present.

Responsibilities include reviewing safety documentation, conducting virtual safety assessments, guiding on-site personnel, and ensuring compliance with SA safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH/NOSA).
• Experience in construction safety and site safety management.
• Strong knowledge of SA OHS Act and construction safety regs.
• Excellent analytical, communication and reporting skills for remote work.
• Proficiency with digital safety management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain health and safety plans for remote projects.
• Review and approve risk assessments, method statements, and safe work procedures.
• Conduct virtual safety inspections and audits using digital tools.
• Provide expert advice on health and safety to site managers and project teams.
• Monitor compliance with OHS legislation and company policies remotely.
• Investigate safety incidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
