Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Legal Advisor specializing in Compliance to join our client's team. Admitted Attorney with 5+ years' experience will lead compliance programs and advise on regulatory matters from a remote setting.

You will conduct audits, update policies, train staff, and stay current with South African laws. This role offers full remote work from near Benoni and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney or equivalent legal qualification with at least 5 years of experience in legal compliance or regulatory affairs.
• Deep understanding of South African corporate laws, compliance frameworks, and risk management.
• Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs.
• Strong analytical, research, and policy-advice skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the company's compliance program and ensure adherence to laws and regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
• Advise management on compliance-related matters including data privacy and anti-corruption.
• Investigate potential breaches and propose disciplinary or remedial measures.
• Stay updated with regulatory changes and update policies accordingly.
• Deliver training programs on compliance policies and procedures.
