Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Legal Advisor specializing in Compliance to join their team, supporting operations remotely across South Africa. You will develop, implement and monitor compliance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate is admitted attorney with at least 5 years of experience in compliance and regulatory law, able to work independently, conduct audits, provide training, and liaise with regulatory

Qualifications

• Admitted attorney or equivalent with focus on compliance and regulatory law.
• Experience developing and managing corporate compliance programs.
• Strong understanding of South African regulatory landscape.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement compliance programs and policies across the organization.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise on required updates.
• Conduct internal audits and investigations for compliance.
• Provide training on compliance matters and ethical conduct.
• Manage regulatory reporting and liaison with regulators.
• Maintain records of compliance activities and risk assessments.
