Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Legal Advisor focusing on Compliance & Risk management to join our fully remote team. You will develop and implement compliance programs, monitor regulatory changes, and advise on governance across the organization.

The ideal candidate is an admitted Attorney with 5+ years in regulatory law, strong SA frameworks knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting while upholding high integrity and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with at least 5 years in compliance or regulatory law.
• Strong knowledge of South African regulatory frameworks and governance.
• Experience drafting policies and procedures for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs and policies.
• Monitor changes in legislation and advise on impact.
• Conduct compliance training sessions for employees.
• Investigate compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
• Assess and manage legal risks for operations and new initiatives.
• Advise on data privacy regulations (POPIA) and ensure adherence.
